First Day of First Grade

 First Day of First Grade

Today I went to school. I went to bus-08. I met my friend Srithik. I sat beside him. It was a bumpy ride. We held on the seat. I told Srithik "hold on to your guts." (Guts mean small intestine). We reached school. This is the end of the first bus ride to school. 

When I went there I saw Mrs. Purney. She was my art teacher in 5K. Then me and Srithik hugged her. She was very happy and said "I love hugs!" She had purple hair. It was awesomely good. 

When we met Mrs. Schellhaas we drew a cool Elmer picture. Mrs. Schellhaas is our homeroom teacher. Elmer is a patchwork elephant. Patchwork means on something there is a design with lots of shapes with different colors. I also drew an Elasmosaurus. On the back of the page I drew the lunar eclipse formation.

We saw Mrs. Apold too. Mrs. Apold is my music teacher. We played a game with her in her music room. It was the encore class for today. We sang ‘Charlie over the ocean, Charlie over the sea Charlie caught a big fish, Can’t catch me’.

I also met some new friends like Lily D. and Ananya A. I had my own desk. I could even lift up the desk and take out the stuff I needed. I kept my school bag in the cubby. I also had recess time when I went to the playground. I fell down and got hurt three times. But it healed very fast. I played with Srithik mostly. We were playing at the slides and climbing up bars. I also met two other new friends in the recess. Their names were Dawson and Anagh. I also saw Anagh's sister. 

I even saw Mrs. Chack. She told us all about the cafeteria. She was wearing some kind of red thing on her head. It was kind of like an apron I think. In the lunch I ate hot turkey, tater tots and carrots. In the snack time I ate what my Mom and Dad gave me in the lunch box that was in the backpack I had. My new backpack was navy in color. 

In snack time I ate french toast, sausages and I had a juice-box. I also had my water bottle in the cafeteria. 

Before I went back home I found out my water bottle was lost!

So I asked my teacher Mrs. Schellhaas "will you please help me to find the water bottle?" 

So she found it for me and I kept it in my bag. Under my water bottle it said my name. 

When I came back from the school in the bus I could not find Mom and Dad. They were looking for me and I was looking for them. So Srithik's mom gave me the phone and I called my Mom and Dad. So we found each other. I said bye bye to Srithik and went home with my parents. 

That was the best day of school ever!
